About Us

Dimela Eco Consulting is an independent consultancy, established in November 2011 in Pretoria. Dimela Eco Consulting offers a range of services, pertaining to the integration of vegetation, vegetation ecology, protected plants and other ecological concerns in the development and land use process.


In support of sustainable development, green infrastructure and socially responsible progress, Dimela Eco Consulting provides clients with quality, unbiased and reliable reports to help minimise the impact on the receiving natural environment and to inform effective decision making by providing specific services.



Furthermore, Dimela works with a range of specialists, such as wetland, fauna and aquatic specialists, to provide a broad range of services and include wetland and fauna assessments. One of Dimela's partners is Limosella Consulting.



Who We Are

Antoinette Eyssell-Knox has a M.Sc. in Environmental Science, and Certificate in Seed Science. Antoinette has 4 years’ experience in Environmental Education and Greening Projects at the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) (2003-2007). She  specialises in vegetation assessments and red data scans.


Antoinette has attended several courses, including:

 Tools for Wetland Assessment

 Wetlands Soils

 ISO 14000 (Advanced EMS Auditors Course)

 Introduction into Forestry Stewardship Council

 Mentorship Training

 S.E.E.D Permaculture training

 Project Management

 Grass and plant identification

 Tsonga (course in speaking Sepedi).


She is a member of the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP), registered as a Professional Natural Scientist in the field of ecology. She is also a member of the Botanical Society of South Africa (Botsoc), a participant in ISPOT and a freelance writer of ecology-related pages for "Supernova, the mag for curious kids". Antoinette welcomes opportunities to stay involved in environmental education and related community programmes.
